Chelation Therapy
Non-Invasive Treatment for Coronary Artery Disease, Vascular Disease, Circulation Problems, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, and other Chronic & Age Related Illnesses
Chelation (pronounced KEY-LAY-SHUN) Therapy has been used in this country since 1948 and has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in removing toxic levels of heavy metals. As of 1998, over one million people have safely and successfully undergone Chelation Therapy under the treatment of physicians trained and certified by the American Board of Chelation Therapy and the American College of Advancement of Medicine.
At the Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine’s Department of Preventive Medicine, we provide Chelation Therapy to patients suffering from a wide variety of medical problems including: heart disease, angina, poor circulation, clogged or blocked arteries, stroke, and diabetic ulcers. Treatments consist of a slow intravenous drip of EDTA, a man-made amino acid, which chelates (grabs) toxic metals from the bloodstream and carries them away in the urine. EDTA also serves as a potent antioxidant which works to change the structure of plaque (known to clog arteries, resulting in numerous serious medical conditions), from highly reactive to inert (some physicians describe the change in the blocked arteries like going from Velcro to Teflon!).
