The Center for Occupational & Environmental Medicine is proud to have a relationship with Kirkman laboratories for the creation of our own in-house vitamins for preconception care as well as in utilizing their products for the treatment of autism.

Kirkman has been manufacturing vitamins and dietary supplements for more than 52 years. Our involvement with the autistic community first came in 1967 with an urgent request by Dr. Bernard Rimland, founder of the Autism Research Institute, for help in manufacturing special vitamin formulations. He believed that sufferers of "autism", a disorder that at the time was not well-known, could be helped by particular vitamin combinations.
Dr. Rimland's proposal that vitamin therapy could play a role in the treatment of such an invasive biological disorder as autism was revolutionary in many ways. We were moved, however, by Dr. Rimland's tenacity and enthusiasm for finding solutions for the autistic which prompted a collaboration that has lasted for more than 30 years.
The result of our early work was Super Nu-Thera? a vitamin formulation especially high in B-6 and magnesium.
Since its inception, more than 50,000 autistic individuals from around the world have used Super Nu-Thera.
