Why a program of Biodetoxification?

Our bodies are the final repository for many toxic substances. A person can be contaminated through occupational exposure or through indirect exposure to contaminated air, food, water, electromagnetic fields and other forms of radiation, etc. Many substances have acute and chronic adverse health effects, even at the lower levels previously considered harmless. Over 100,000 chemicals are currently in production today, with only a few hundred having been fully tested for harmful effects to our health. Exposure to these agents can be immediately harmful and may ultimately lead to long term disorders.

The National Academy of Science recognizes at least two ominous effects of toxic contamination: chemical sensitivity and cancer. Since individual susceptibility is directly affected by the chemical environment, it is prudent to reduce the body's burden of these harmful substances, while concurrently cleaning up our environment.
