Pastor Larry and Donna Lewis
|
 |
 |
| Life Coaches
|
Pastor Larry Lewis and his wife Donna Lewis serve as life coaches to journey with our patients in identifying and incorporating the emotional and personal side to healing.
Individually the Lewis's are available to meet with individuals, couples, and children. They also offer group workshops in person or by telephone.
At COEM we take the time to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, designed to heal the whole body, not just relieve symptoms. We are concerned with the whole person and the way that a person reacts to his/her total environment and this especially includes our emotional load.
The age old questions asked by all patients, "Why me?" and "Why now?" do have answers. We find environmental factors to be especially important in chronic illness.
Part of your environment could also be:
- Events or issues from your past which were especially hurtful physically and/or emotionally
- Negative thoughts
- Relationship dynamics
- Victim mentality or experiences
- Understanding why bad things happen
- Coping with disease
- Feeling uncertain or overwhelmed
- How to move forward
People are often astounded to learn that their chronic disease and their multiple signs and symptoms involve almost every aspect and issue in their lives. Just as there are environmental triggers, there may also be emotional triggers.
hen you feel better about yourself your body will heal more quickly and easily.
Pastor Larry has been volunteering every Wednesday shadowing Dr. Lieberman for the past 16 months. Many patients have already had an opportunity to meet with him and his efforts have had a tremendous effect. He served as a pastor ministering to his church for 17 years.
Donna served 8 years with the church's support groups as well as 8 years as the principal of the lower school of Kindergarten through Fifth grades. Donna has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Psychology and a Master's degree in Education. Donna has also studied many emotional healing classes such as Dr. Henry Cloud and John Townsend and most recently with Dr. Henry Wright's "Be in Health" program.
